Are you looking for a new challenge? An exciting and position has risen at a prestigious client based in the Wrexham area for Residential Support Worker with Children. You will be working as part of a large community of specialised workers where training and development is provided. You will support children age 8-18 with a range of learning difficulties, autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviours and other complex needs within a spacious residential site. This is a permanent full time contract, paying £16665 per annum plus Sleep in allowance With an extensive training package on offer and competitive salary, this is the perfect opportunity for a Residential Support Worker with Children and provides room for progression. Responsibilities of Support Worker With Children: - Assisting clients with all aspects of personal care, promoting self help and independence inline with care plans - Assisting the administration of medication - Supporting the clients education including attending school and completing homework - Assisting with domestic duties - Working closely with teaching staff, social workers and external professionals in a professional manner - Supporting clients to access the community - Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner - Undertake regular sleep in duties - Participate in regular review meetings and risk assessments - Attend and contribute to team meetings - Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner - To maintain knowledge and operate within current legislation and company polices and procedures - Promote in dependence and develop a trusting relationship with the clients - Maintain confidentiality at all times - Report any concerns that may indicate safety and well being is being compromised - To undertake all mandatory training inline with company policies and procedures Person Specification for Support Worker With Children: - Due to the location of the business and shift patterns, all applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicles - Staff must be flexible with shift patterns - You must be confident and competent when support clients with challenging behaviour - Training to NVQ standard would be advantageous but not essential as training is provided - Experience within a Health and Social Care would be advantageous but not essential - All applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and 5 years referencing Additional information: -A competitive salary -Enhanced disclosure cost coverage -Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training -A generous annual leave entitlement -Online benefits and cashback rewards -Cycle to work scheme -Just Drive scheme -SMART Childcare Vouchers -SMART Pension option If this exciting opportunity is of interest to yourself please apply immediately or call Matt Grech on 01952263990, alternatively email
