The HR Department at Abingdon School is seeking to appoint a Part-Time Training Administrator . We are a small but very busy team and so a flexible approach and a 'can do' attitude is essential. Job Title: Part-Time Training Administrator Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Salary: £10,870 - £12,353 (£22,000 - £25,000 FTE) + benefits Job Type: Permanent - Part-Time The post holder will have responsibility on a day to day basis for the administration and coordination of all training across the Abingdon Foundation (Abingdon School, Abingdon Prep School, Tilsley Park and the Boathouse). This will include the organisation of all health and safety and safeguarding related training ensuring that all staff gain and maintain the necessary qualifications required for their roles. Part-Time Training Administrator - Key Responsibilities: Identifying training needs - To maintain the relevant databases with starters, leavers and role changes - To assign roles to individuals within the databases and to identify training gaps - To accurately maintain training records electronically and in hard copy - To monitor training needs within the Foundation and to arrange training accordingly Liaison - To liaise with relevant internal staff including the Health & Safety Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) regarding arrangements for the organisation of relevant training courses - To liaise with relevant external training providers and members of staff that require training - To negotiate costs and book training events internally and externally Booking Training - To coordinate all relevant arrangements for training including: - booking venue and catering - inviting participants and monitoring attendance - facilitating courses - course evaluation Other Duties - Ensuring compliance in relation to DVLA driver checks for individuals who drive school vehicles - Ensuring that all relevant self-employed staff have appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance (where appropriate) - Supporting the HR team with general administrative duties as required Part-Time Training Administrator - You: - A good standard of education - Excellent IT skills, including a high level of competence in database work, in particular extensive experience in Microsoft Office software, and willingness to learn new packages when appropriate - Excellent interpersonal skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - A high level of personal organisation and accuracy - The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines - The ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work effectively as a member of a team - A flexible approach with a preparedness to work beyond the job description - Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people - Values and respects the views and needs of children and young people Hours of Work This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week for 36 weeks (term time plus an additional two weeks during school holidays).
