Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for the right person to join the Support Work team on a full time, permanent basis paying up to £9.74 per hour with additional payments for sleep-ins. Responsibilities of the Support Worker: * Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all individuals whilst on shift * Work in line with the individual Care Plan or agreement, the wishes of the individual and as directed by key agencies * Provide access to a range of specialist services from external agencies to meet any of young people's needs * Attend all relevant meetings * Support the young people with any education, volunteering or employment * Engage in practical activities, in particular those which promote and develop learning, social skills, healthy lifestyles, arts and culture, aiming to broaden horizons and raise aspirations * Liaise with external agencies and assist in the planning of the resettlement of individuals * Document the interaction with the young people, ensuring that professional, non-judgmental and adequate information in provided Person Specification for the Support Worker: * Flexibility to work shift patterns including sleep-ins * Full UK driving license is preferable but not essential * Proactive and positive mind-set * Resilience to deal with challenging behaviour * Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential * Great communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to build long and trusting relationships Additional information of the Support Worker: * Full training and induction provided * Paid DBS * Pension Scheme * Funded qualifications up to Level 5 * 25 days holiday rising to 30 * Internal progression within all areas of the business * Childcare vouchers * Healthcare scheme * Flexible working * Employer-supported volunteering days * Employee advisory service Do not miss being rewarded with amazing job satisfaction and feeling part of a community.
