Bloxham School have an exciting opportunity for a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join their growing team based in Bloxham, Banbury. Job Title: Strength and Conditioning Coach Location: Bloxham, Banbury Salary: £11,207 for the fixed term period of 1 academic year, September 2018- June 2019, including paid holiday + Accommodation provided in school + All meals supplied during term time Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, including Saturdays, term time only (20 weeks). The Strength and Conditioning Coach will work with the Heads of Sport and PE to develop this aspect of the school provision. The duties include, creating and implementing a conditioning scheme of work for all pupils to follow in PE lessons, deliver year round conditioning support to team players, educate staff, parents and pupils about the role of S+C, induct pupils and staff into the facility and general management of the gym. Strength and Conditioning Coach - Key Responsibilities: - Create and develop a strength and conditioning programme for junior pupils which can be delivered as part of a PE curriculum - Bespoke support for identified pupils and teams - Providing adequate prehab and rehab provision - Supervision of gym sessions - Managing the induction process for all pupils - Assist with coaching of sports teams - normally one per term - Teach, coach, lead and supervise sports and other extra-curricular activities as required - Undertake any reasonable tasks as directed by the Assistant Head Cocurricular - Attend whole school and departmental INSET training. - Be part of a rota providing evening supervision for the boarding community. Strength and Conditioning Coach - Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - Be expected to hold a degree in sports science or a related area specialising in the field of strength and conditioning - Have UKSCA accreditation or be working towards it and will have experience of working with 11-18 year olds - Have the ability to inspire pupils and staff alike is essential, as is the willingness to work on weekends and evenings - Have Coaching Experience in one or more of the schools main games - Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Athletics and Tennis - Have the highest standards of professional behaviour at all times To submit your CV for this exciting Strength and Conditioning Coach opportunity, please click 'Apply' now!
