What can we do for you? - Highly competitive salary of up to; £50,000 per annum DOE - 40 hours per week - 30 days holiday including Bank Holidays - Healthcare plan - Life Assurance - Salary Extras - Workplace pension - Zest Java DeveloperResponsibilities: The role will require you to be a part of a Java development team starting on their DevOps journey. You will be responsible for software development activities, including story analysis and estimation, code, unit tests, system documentation and release of change into production. You will also: - Responsible for quality of software and associated metrics - Responsible for creating and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline - Working as part of an agile team to implement change. Breaking up stories into tasks and providing estimates for their completion. Taking part in daily stand-ups ensuring that progress and issues are communicated to the agile project manager. Work closely with the team to ensure solutions delivered are fit for purpose and use. - Review and refactor code and advise/mentor junior developers - Provide designs and estimates on new feature development, bugs and change requests - Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered in production The ideal Lead Java Developer: Joining our team, you must be able to demonstrate good experience and knowledge of designing and building Java Enterprise applications and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of developing applications using libraries across the Spring ecosystem, Spring Boot, Hibernate with Java 8 coding practices. You will also: - Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of SOAP and Restful Web services(JSON/XML) - Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of relational databases and SQL - Must be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality software as part of an agile team - Experience of working within an Agile/Scrum/XP environment - Experience of test driven development - Experience developing solutions with a Postgres or MySQL database - Experience of source control using subversion and GIT You will be passionate about technology, well organised with strong attention to detail and you will be excited by change and able to embrace a rapidly changing business landscape.
