Be part of something rewarding and challenging and join CGI as an Operational Security Manager for a key CGI client in the Financial Asset Management sector. Your key task will be to manage the systems, device and application security by preventing unauthorised intrusion and assuring data confidentiality, integrity and system availability within the client's environment. This is an opportunity to be the main client facing CGI representative for a key client. Ideally you will be based locally to Milton Keynes, however other locations will be considered. Your future duties and responsibilities As the IT Security Manager/ Operational Security Manager you will be responsible for ensuring CGI complies with the client's security polices, which will include reviewing changes to the policy and conducting impact analysis. You will also be required to undertake Risk assessments and be involved in risk remediation control selection. You will be required to provide technical advice and assistance to projects both on infrastructure and application design from a security perspective. Ensuring that security aspects of BAU services are followed is key, as is participating in external and client security audits, pen tests etc You will also be responsible for the ownership of the vulnerability management process, including vulnerability scanning, remediation and prioritisation of findings, anti-virus software and patch management. You will then agree actions and priorities with the client, managing any remediation with relevant technical teams. Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate handing of security incidents, including any special requirements for confidential and personal data in line with GDPR Required qualifications to be successful in this role The ideal person for this role will have solid IT background combined with strong security experience. You will have experience with LAN / WAN technologies and an understanding of network protocols to be able to provide input into Firewall, Intrusion detection / prevention and Penetration testing. Also experience with Desktop environment (Patching, Anti-Virus, drive encryption, event logs) for Microsoft software. From a security point of view, you will have experience with ISO 27001, regulatory standards such as GDPR and Industry standards such as PCI - DSS (Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard). You will be able to provide evidence of performing risk assessments particularly in an IS(phone number removed) environment. A recognised certification such as CISSP, CISM, SSCP would be desirable too. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, who can be client facing and have the ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders. This role is to be predominantly based in our Milton Keynes, but we will consider applicant to be based in other CGI offices, but they must be willing to travel extensively to Milton Keynes Build your career with us.
