Lead Full Stack Developer NodeJS, Angular, Team Leader, Hands On NoSQL, MySQL, CouchDB In this role, we are looking for a talented Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to take a lead role in our Engineering team. We’ll be building great software that will form part of our future product suite. Preferably you’re great with Angular and Node.JS or other modern frameworks and have experience building complex data driven applications. As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer your primary role will be to ensure that exciting new features in our product suite are delivered by the team to a high level of quality. Having experience in the main technologies that we use is a given as is your software engineering prowess, proven by the great software that you will have already delivered, and your ability to produce innovative solutions to our customers’ problems. You are most likely already leading a small team building software products and taking responsibility for the team’s delivery and looking for the next move to challenge yourself and work with the latest technologies. You’ll get to • Build software for our product suite • Review and contribute to user story definition and detailed technical designs • Develop code and unit testing to these detailed designs • Develop members of the team through coaching, mentoring and timely feedback (including performance reviews)so that they are performing to the best of their ability • Ensure that knowledge is shared by members of the team so that the team can work as productively as possible as a team • Show the engineers in the team better ways of doing things and help them improve their skills • Act as an example to all the engineers in the team by being the person who most closely follows the principles and practises we have committed to • Provide estimates and timescales and take responsibility for meeting the resulting deadlines • Work as part of an agile scrum team committed to delivering a great product • Maintain current technical documentation at the code, design and user levels as appropriate • Maintain and refactor the software on an ongoing basis • Liaise with our customer success team to assist with troubleshooting and fixing customer raised defects You’ll have… • Extensive experience with Angular 2 (and above) or similar Javascript framework • Experience with Node.JS • Experience of working with both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (ideally CouchDB) database technologies • Experience in leading a small team and achieving excellent team and individual performance from team members • A great understanding of web performance and user interface usability • A passion for clean, readable and maintainable code • Experience working with REST APIs • Experience working in continuous integration environments • Experience of working within an agile scrum team • Experience of software development processes • Experience in writing unit tests • Experience in version control systems, such as Subversion or Git • Experience with Linux/Unix • A Computer Science, Mathematics or similar degree … and maybe you have • Experience working with real-time web apps with live updates • Experience working with web apps that manage large volumes of data • Prior experience of working for a small, high-growth company • Experience in testing with automated frameworks such as Protractor • Experience developing on LAMP architectures People Source Consulting Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
